SXT Ultimate LITE

The SXT Ultimate LITE is the smallest of the three extreme models made by SXT (Ultimate LITE, Pro, Pro +). It ranks among the extraordinarily powerful models and thanks to two electric motors providing total power of 2000 W it reaches speeds of up to 50 km/h. Thanks to quality chassis fitted with pneumatic shock absorbers, the scooter is not afraid of terrain and riding it is quite comfortable despite having solid, 8-inch tires.

The Ultimate LITE offers the option to ride in ECO mode, as well as the option to switch off one motor, which is helpful not only to increase the range but also for beginners to gradually get used to the scooter’s full power. Weighing 28 kg, it is one of the lighter models fitted with 2x2 drive, but its light weight comes at the price of shorter range. The smaller dimensions and compact storage space come as an advantage.

Power and range

The SXT Ultimate LITE has both wheels driven, each hiding a 1000 W motor inside, which means that in total the scooter has at its disposal decent power of 2000 W. This power is transferred to the road by two 8-inch solid wheels. With its 2x2 drive and 12 cm ground clearance, this scooter masters every situation, including terrain. The scooter reaches speeds of up to 50 km/h and thanks to smaller wheels it boasts very good acceleration. This model’s range is limited by its battery, which uses Li-ion technology and is sufficient for a range of 28 km. The battery’s stored energy is 720 Wh, corresponding to 15 Ah capacity at 48 V. The Ultimate LITE may not be the most extreme of the extreme scooters, but it is all the more practical and pleasant for everyday use. Moreover, you will never get bored by its acceleration, not even after many years of use, and you won’t have to worry about any steep incline.

Comfort

The solid, 8-inch wheels are perfectly complemented by the pneumatic chassis, which is adjustable by changing the pressure in shock absorbers installed both on the front and rear wheel. Indeed, riding on air-filled tires would be more comfortable. However, the Ultimate LITE compensates that by the fact that you can’t get a flat tire, which naturally enhances comfort and a good feeling that you won’t have to deal with anything. The shock absorbers are adjustable by changing air pressure. This means that you can adapt the scooter to your riding style and your body weight.

Moreover, the scooter features cruise control making longer tips a little more comfortable. The cruise control engages automatically when you maintain identical speed for a few seconds and disengages automatically when you start braking or accelerating. The scooter offers a USB port that can be used, for instance, to charge your smartphone while riding or power any additional lights. A big plus comes with the built-in alarm and immobilizer, meaning you can leave your scooter unattended for a while without having to worry.

Safety

The SXT Ultimate LITE brakes excellently thanks to two hydraulic 120 mm disc brakes. The hybrid brakes combine the advantages of standard mechanical cable-controlled disc brakes with the hydraulic ones. Although there is a standard cable leading from the brake lever, in reality it compresses a hydraulic brake cylinder that is integrated in the caliper. The adjustable pneumatic chassis consisting of two shock absorbers, one on each wheel, further contributes to safety. It absorbs excellently any uneven surfaces, which contributes to better traction and braking. The scooter has a 100 kg load capacity, which must not be exceeded because of the design limits of shock absorbers. It features front and rear lights inside the scooter’s body, which also include an integrated brake light. The advantage being that you can’t get a flat tire with solid wheels and you do not have to check the tire pressure, meaning the scooter is always ready for a ride. You will also enjoy a built-in alarm and immobilizer controlled by the included remote control, similar to a car.

Design

The SXT Ultimate LITE impresses with its unusually wide, 8-inch wheels that contribute to the scooter’s unique look and, at the same time, provide good stability at higher speeds. The minimalistic industrial design of this scooter gives it an army touch with the appearance subordinated to functionality and robustness. The sharp edges, rectangular platform and metal fender combined with step-on surface do not try to pretend anything but rather create a comprehensive feeling of functionality and strength. The placement of brake discs is unusual with the front one being on the right side and the rear one on the left side of the scooter. The brake calipers in distinctive color are in contrast to the otherwise completely black body of the scooter and emphasize its sporty nature. The necessary cabling is relatively well integrated into the body and does not disturb the scooter’s looks. The shock absorbers are also well hidden, being integrated and unobtrusive thanks to their black finish. This is certainly not a design masterpiece. However, sometimes beauty is in the simplicity and functionality.

Use and practicality

This is not a typical tuck-away city scooter. Its weight reaches 28 kg, which means that you will surely not want to carry it up the stairs. On the other hand, among high-power scooters this model remains on the smaller and lighter side since you can lift it and move it by yourself, if necessary. The solid wheels give you certainty that you will not get a flat tire on the road and you will always arrive on time. You simply have one less thing to worry about and the pneumatic suspension ensures sufficient absorption of uneven surfaces and vibration generated while riding. The wide handlebars are an advantage as they give you better control over the scooter. However, Ultimate LITE has them fixed, which means that the handlebars cannot be folded and the scooter therefore remains relatively wide even after the steering column is folded. The scooter does fit inside the trunk of a regular car, but there will not be a lot of space left. If you want to take it with you on a longer car trip (for instance, to a sea resort), it is better to put the scooter on your car’s rear bicycle rack mounted on a tow hook. Thanks to its high power and 2x2 drive, this scooter can handle terrain and even steeper climbs. Unfortunately, its lower weight translates into shorter range of 28 km, which however remains sufficient for most riders.

The SXT Ultimate LITE is a powerful scooter with both wheels driven. These are solid wheels, which means the scooter can’t get a flat tire. The comfort is taken care of by the adjustable pneumatic chassis that counterbalances the less comfortable wheels. For its power and features, the scooter is relatively light (28 kg). This lighter weight comes at the cost of shorter range that is 28 km, which is below the average in this performance category. It is taken care of by a 48 V 15 Ah Li-ion battery providing 720 Wh stored energy. So, if you are not planning to make long trips and are looking for a lighter, very powerful, maintenance-free scooter capable of travelling up to 50 km/h and, at the same time, equipped with quality brakes, the Ultimate LITE by SXT will be the right choice for you. This model will please you with its built-in alarm and immobilizer, remote control, cruise control and also by its ability to charge your phone via the USB connector.
