It is the Kingsong 14D compact electric unicycle. A rather small 14-inch wheel, decent performance and controllability make up a machine that makes commuting to work an entirely new experience.
Power and range
Given its size and body, the Kingsong 14D may seem at first glance as having a problem with dynamic riding. However, the very opposite is the truth. The manufacturer equipped it with a single brushless motor providing a rated output of 800 W. However, its peak power can reach an incredible value of 2400 W. Combined with 70 Nm of torque, you will climb hills at a 30° gradient without the slightest problem. The speed specifications are likewise good as you will be able to reach a top speed of 30 km/h on this unicycle. These parameters will be more than sufficient in urban conditions. And once you add a 60 V Li-Ion LG battery providing a capacity of 7 Ah, you get a perfect machine for daily use. With this battery you can travel per charge a distance of 40 km in normal conditions, eliminating the need for daily recharging. And when, finally, the battery needs to be recharged, you can fully charge the Kingsong 14D in 3.5 hours using the supplied 2A charger.
Body and equipment
The compact design does not prevent this unicycle from offering excellent overall build quality. The Kingsong 14D is a machine of a very durable and functional design with a well substantiated use of each component. As expected, it is dominated by its slim and low body improving controllability and maneuverability. On the sides there are ambient LED lights, the color of which is customizable via the app installed in your phone. The unicycle also offers Bluetooth connectivity for advanced unicycle settings via the mentioned phone app, as well as built-in speakers. These speakers allow playing your favorite songs while riding. The last piece of equipment to be mentioned is the unicycle’s activation button.
Safety, comfort and practicality
The biggest trump card of the Kingsong 14D is its controllability and easy handling in everyday use. This is thanks to this unicycle only having a 14-inch inflatable tire with an inner tube. The folding pedals provide comfort and full control over the unicycle while riding. They stand out by their size and honeycomb design for better cleaning. The manufacturer equipped both pedals with a surface featuring small spikes enabling a stable and safe body posture in all conditions. Also contributing to this first-class comfort are the two side pads protecting the legs. You do not have to worry about reduced visibility either, thanks to the headlight and the rear light with a brake light. Along with practical dimensions of 43.7, 47.6, 20.6 cm (length, height, width) when folded, the unicycle’s equipment offers additional clever gadgets. For instance, when you are not riding your Kingsong 14D but in fact you need to push it, just pull out the handle resembling the one on a travel case. Weighing only 14.5 kg, you can lift this unicycle without the slightest problem, board a bus or train with it, or hide it under your bed at home.
