Meaning, carrying it up the stairs or taking it with you on the train or bus is manageable. Body, design and equipment

The scooter offers practical design and perfect build quality you will appreciate during your daily commuting. Compared to its predecessor, the Dualtron Spider 2 Limited is a little bit heavier at 26.2 kg, but offers much more. The more powerful BLDC dual motors are made of aluminum alloy with magnesium admixture, resulting in better strength and lower weight than the conventional aluminum alloy. Further contributing to weight savings are the handlebars made of carbon fiber. The new Spider 2 Limited has charging ports moved to the steering "stem" for better access to them. The major new feature is the rear footrest with a hook for securing the steering rod after folding. There is a control unit integrated into the footrest that provides better cooling. Also located at the back of the rear footrest are the LEDs for better visibility. Similarly to Dualtron Storm, Thunder and Victor models, the folding mechanism has been improved to feature a dual clamp. The deck is no longer covered by a coarse grip, as was the case with the predecessor, but by a rubber layer that is easier to maintain. The Dualtron Spider 2 Limited is equipped with a large and easy-to-read EYE display manufactured in-house by Minimotors. The display shows all important data, such as speed, current gear, daily kilometers travelled (TRIP), total kilometers travelled (ODO) and the current battery charge level. Thanks to its high brightness output, the display stays legible even in adverse weather conditions. The scooter’s power is controlled by a popular finger lever. The lightweight frame is made of wrought aerospace aluminum alloy (7075) and the wheel shafts are made of chromium-molybdenum alloy steel with carbon admixture (SCM440). Quality materials and precise workmanship give this scooter the rigidity necessary to ensure rider’s safety. The maintenance-free and durable elastomeric suspension, 10-inch, air-filled tires with inner tube and comfortable ergonomic grips all contribute to your riding comfort.

Safety and ride quality

Safety is always most important. The scooter’s components are installed in a frame, which has been designed for maximum stability and riding comfort. The Dualtron Spider 2 Limited is supplied with elastomeric suspension, making your ride very comfortable on any surface! This is a proven suspension system used in almost every model of the Dualtron series. It requires zero maintenance and excels in long serviceable life. The mechanical disc brakes have been made of lighter materials as well, however they retain braking efficiency you would expect from a Dualtron model. Along with electric brake, you can rest assured that you will always stop safely even at higher speeds. Another important safety element is the electronic ABS that prevents locking of wheels when braking heavily. It goes without saying that safety requires proper lighting. In addition to being stylish, this lighting system has been mainly designed to enhance safety and predictability in fast city traffic. Along with the standard LED front and tail lights, the Dualtron Spider 2 Limited comes with LED strips built into the steering column and into the sides of the deck, with which you can change the colors based on your mood by using the included remote control. The scooter offers the option to activate the so-called “Kick-start” feature preventing any unwanted start up. This feature is especially useful for beginner riders. The functional fenders are a matter of fact, thanks to which you do not have to worry about bad weather or your clothes getting dirty by splashing water, should any unexpected rain shower catch you by surprise. However, we recommend that you avoid water as much as possible to avoid losing warranty due to water damage to electrical components.

Power and range

With the maximum output of 3 984 W, any failed attempts to climb a steep hill are a thing of the past. The Dualtron Spider 2 Limited has two carbonless BLDC electric motors made of aluminum alloy with magnesium admixture, which allow you to accelerate this little devil to a speed of up to 70 km/h in ideal conditions. In terms of how far it can go, thanks to its 60 V battery providing 30 Ah capacity, this model does not lag behind and offers the impressive range of up to 100 km (depending on rider’s weight, outdoor temperature and terrain). With a range like that, you are free to ride without having to worry about where to recharge your battery. The charging ports supporting supercharging are placed more conveniently in the steering "stem" and are equipped with protective caps preventing dirt from entering inside. The battery pack does not suffer from any undesirable memory effect, which is why it will last many years, subject to proper charging and maintenance!

The Dualtron Spider 2 limited is the pinnacle of technology in the category of lightweight yet powerful electric scooters. It is an amazing machine both for regular commuters and occasional hikers. It offers an excellent speed/range/weight/durability ratio. In a city you will surely appreciate smooth power delivery and agility of this scooter. You do not have to worry about your scooter giving up on you on a longer trip. You will love the very comfortable chassis, which you will be able to use both on cobblestones and on field roads. Despite weighing more than its predecessor, the scooter remains easily portable, meaning you can take it without problems inside a restaurant, for instance. With its size, it will fit into a trunk of almost every ordinary car. The scooter’s dimensions in a folded state are 1140 x 605 x 50 mm and 1140 x 605 x 1240 mm when unfolded.

Traditionally, the Dualtron models are powerful, yet also bulky and heavy scooters. That is a problem for people living on higher floors of buildings without any elevator or for people who travel frequently. The Dualtron Spider 2 Limited is the best there is when it comes to power/weight/compactness ratio. In terms of torque or top speed, it has nothing to envy the heavier and bigger scooters of the Dualtron model series. You will be hard pressed to find on the market a twin-motor scooter weighing less than 26.2 kg and offering about 4 000 W power. The Spider 2 Limited definitely meets our expectations. It is a fast, versatile scooter and we are happy being able to offer you this great machine. It meets the paper specs declared by the manufacturer, having practical design and being very safe to ride. You can rely on it when you travel down a field road, on a regular road at 60 km/h or at a pedestrian pace somewhere in a city center. You will always radiate satisfaction. About the brand

The Minimotors was established in 1999 in Pusan (Busan) in South Korea. It started its production in 1999 with mass-produced electric motors, high quality of which made the company famous all over the world. In 2010, it began manufacturing electric scooters, making good use of its 10 years of experience in producing these electric motors. In a very short period of time, the Speedway scooter series arrived to the market. In order to improve productivity, Minimotors later moved its production to a new factory in China and in 2015 it finished the design and began producing the first Dualtron electric scooter called Dualtron Ultra. The scooters bearing both names have long been very popular among electromobility enthusiasts around the world. Although we have seen many new companies emerging in the field of electromobility, they lack the experience gained by Minimotors over all those years. Many of these newcomers soon abandon their plans due to the low quality of their products and the resulting lack of interest on the market.
