Body and equipment

With InMotion unicycles and scooters, we are used to them having a high-quality body and plentiful safety features. This is indeed the case with the InMotion V12HT as it has to handle fast rides even on unpaved roads. However, people at InMotion have managed to put all important equipment features into a relatively compact and user-friendly body. On its sides you will also find ambient lights, the color of which you can customize via the app installed in your phone. The unicycle is built around a 16-inch tubed tire that is 3 inches wide, which means it will handle riding on any surface without problems. There is also the option to adjust the height of the pedals that are covered by a grip tape. The fact that the InMotion V12HT Challenger is a state-of-the-art machine is evidenced by the modern LCD touch screen displaying all the necessary riding data or by Bluetooth connectivity for advanced unicycle settings via a phone app.

Power and range

The design is one thing, but what kind of machine would it be without proper performance? The manufacturer understands that and that is why it equipped the InMotion V12HT unicycle with a motor providing a peak power of 5500 W and a torque of 188 Nm. Climbing hills at a slope of up to 45° will not be a problem for you or for the unicycle. Plus, you will be able to ride at a speed of precisely 60 km/h on a flat surface. We must not forget the 88.8 V Li-Ion LG battery with 19.7 Ah capacity, thanks to which you will enjoy trips up to 152 km long. Like most InMotion unicycles, the V12 HT model comes with the Smart Battery Management system. It takes good care of the battery via smart energy management, which includes maintaining the cells at ideal temperature and balanced use of their capacity, thus significantly prolonging the battery life. You will also enjoy charging, as it is possible to fully recharge the battery in 9 hours using one charger.

Safety, comfort and practicality

The comfort and good controllability of the InMotion V12HT during riding is thanks to its ideal width, along with a pair of sufficiently large pedals. You do not have to worry about reduced visibility either, thanks to the front and rear lights, both of them providing brightness of 1700 lumens. The rear light also serves as a brake light. Moreover, the built-in speaker allows you to play your favorite songs on long trips. The InMotion V12HT will not be afraid of wet environments thanks to IPX5 certification. The manufacturer did not forget the practicality of a unicycle, so when you are not riding it, all you need to do is to flip out the integrated stand. On the other hand, when you need to push it, just flip out the integrated trolley handle or lift it by the handle with a built-in anti-spin button. As for compactness, a length of 49.7 cm; a height of 60.7 cm and a width of 19 cm (with folded pedals), as well as a weight of 31.5 kg, will give you no particular problem to pick it up and carry it for a while wherever needed.

Our rating

As the second-highest model in the electric unicycle lineup, the InMotion V12HT comes with great specifications. It offers powerful performance, modern equipment and high-quality body for a wide range of riding options. However, given that it comes so close to the top model in the portfolio of the InMotion brand, we would welcome a suspension chassis. Nevertheless, not even this shortcoming prevents the V12HT model from offering unforgettable riding experience to its new owners.
