Body, design and equipment

The world-famous Italian motorcycle manufacturer MV Agusta unveiled the new electric scooter named the Rapido Serie Oro at the end of 2021. This is the first electric scooter made by this company. Following the successful launch of the brand's electric bike, the Rapido Serie Oro scooter has become yet another member of the series of stylish, high-performance electric vehicles responding to the growing demand among city inhabitants looking for a safer and more pleasant way to travel and move around the city on a daily basis. Inspired by premium Serie Oro models, this Rapido scooter model comes in black & red colors with gold accessories, being equipped with the latest materials and technologies for e-mobility. The frame is made of magnesium alloy and is fitted with 10-inch tubeless tires, double hydraulic disc brakes and a 48 V, 500 W brushless electric motor generating a top torque of 24 Nm with a range of up to 50 km at the maximum achievable speed of 25 km/h (the speed is electronically limited to 25 km/h). The RAPIDO handles riding uphill at inclinations of up to 14°. It features a well-arranged 4-inch LCD display acting as a control panel and speedometer, which can be connected to a smartphone by installing a special app. The app can be used to choose your speed between 4 different levels "Pedestrian, Eco, Comfort or Sport +", map the trip itinerary, check the battery status or unlock the scooter directly.

Safety and ride quality

The MV Augusta always pays attention to customer safety, which is why the company fitted this scooter with anti-slip handles providing comfortable grip and excellent control over the scooter, even during long trips. You have your speed under absolute control. Gently push the thumb lever down and keep accelerating until reaching the desired speed. The powerful LED headlight is absolutely necessary when riding at night, yet not all scooters are equipped in this manner. At your disposal is also the LED red tail light that shines brighter when you press the brake lever. The two turn signals complete the lighting equipment. The scooter is equipped with both the front and rear hydraulic brakes that exceed expectations in terms of braking efficiency. Moreover, the inflatable 10-inch tubeless tires ensure smooth ride as they nicely absorb any uneven terrain.

Power and range

The MV Agusta Rapido Serie Oro is powered by a 500 W electric motor with a 48 V architecture and a torque of 24 Nm. The electric motor is connected to a 10.4 Ah battery with 54.6 V charging voltage. The MV Agusta Rapido Serie Oro reaches a top speed of 25 km/h and can travel almost 50 km on a single charge under ideal conditions. It takes approximately 6 hours to replenish the discharged battery. The MV Agusta Rapido Serie Oro measures 1132 mm in length, 600 mm in width and 1217 mm in height. When folded, the electric scooter measures 1132 mm in length, 600 mm in width and 538 mm in height. The scooter has a frame made of magnesium alloy, being able to carry riders weighing up to 100 kg.

Use and practicality

The rigid body and sufficient power predestine this scooter to be primarily used in city traffic. Thanks to its reliable electric motor and a reasonable weight of 20 kg, it is also suitable for frequent carrying. The inflatable tubeless tires can effectively filter out any uneven surface and make your ride even more comfortable.
