There are only a handful of electric scooters capable of attracting attention by their simplicity. The Vsett 8 Apex has succeeded in that to the fullest. It is dominated by clean design forcing all passers-by to turn their heads, as well as by perfect adaptation of the scooter body, performance, and handling to the urban environment. The Vsett 8 Apex is simply a must for all who wish to live a modern lifestyle. That is why it comes with USB-A and USB-C ports for charging your phone and other devices while riding.
Body and design
At first glance, it is clear that Vsett designers did all they could to make this electric scooter as simple as possible for everyday use. That is why the Vsett 8 Apex uses 8.5-inch solid tires, which are puncture-proof. No small stones or potholes on the road will be a problem as this scooter is equipped with front and rear suspension. This scooter’s small tires are not intended for just small riders as when combined with the chassis made of aviation-grade aluminum and magnesium, the scooter can transport loads of up to 120 kg. The scooter itself weighs 28 kg. The minimalist design with the length of 114 cm, height of 120 cm and width of 60 cm is simply made for zig-zagging through narrow streets and transporting yourself to any place you need.
Power and range
The riding dynamics are taken care of by two brushless motors with a nominal power of 2x600 W and a peak power of 2502 W after speed unlocking. These motors provide a top speed of 40 km/h (after unlocking). The range of Vsett 8 Apex equipped with a smaller 15.6 Ah battery reaches the same value – 40 km. By opting for the version fitted with a larger 19.2 Ah battery, you can enjoy a range extended by 20 km. With it, making a few short trips per charge will be a piece of cake. It takes 4-7 hours to fully recharge the battery. Should you ever reach the very limit of battery capacity, it will not give up on you just like that in the middle of the city as this battery is swappable for easy replacement and charging. This means that you can carry a spare battery with you in a backpack.
Equipment and versatility
The equipment of the Vsett 8 Apex is as simple as possible, yet functional. Folding and carrying the scooter are hassle-free thanks to a clever folding system, which includes folding handlebars. Folded in just 3 seconds to the length of 103 cm, height of 39 cm and width of 20 cm, you can take it with you on a bus even when it is full of people. There is a 3.5" LCD panel at the center of the handlebars, displaying clearly the current speed and the selected speed mode – Park, Eco, Sport, or Race. The turn signal switches are newly-designed and you can easily control the lights using the button located near the throttle. The designers also had safety in mind. Stopping reliably ahead of any obstacle will be easy as pie thanks to standard disc brakes both on the front and rear wheel. Moreover, the Vsett 8 Apex will not be surprised by any wet or dirt roads thanks to having a pair of fenders and IP44 rating. However, we agree with the manufacturer and advise that riding in the rain or through puddles should be avoided. It could permanently damage your battery, which is not covered by warranty repairs.
