Who said that the joy of riding electric scooters is reserved for adults only? The people at Kingsong asked themselves this question and came up with the Kingsong C1 kids electric scooter that is ideal for children aged 6-12 years. It combines attractive design, safety and ideal size with ease of control for those first kilometers travelled on two wheels. Two brakes, front suspension, anti-skid deck, as well as a speed of 12 km/h and a range of 10 km - all these specs create the best recipe for the little ones to enter the world of electromobility.
Body, design and equipment
In producing a model intended for kids, Kingsong made sure to use top materials and to combine design with quality. The little scooter riders will have no problems choosing their favorite color finish. However, all color variants come with a slim design and sufficient deck size for children’s legs. The deck is covered by a silicone top layer, which means that the kids’ feet won’t be slipping off it. The silicone surface ends at the folding joint, which is why carrying this scooter is not a problem. Just unlatch the only lever and after folding the scooter latch the hook on the steering rod to the rear fender.
The handlebars provide equally simple, yet safe solution. The grips fit the hands comfortably, providing full control over scooter’s steering. To prevent children switching between riding modes, either out of curiosity or accidentally, the manufacturer placed the scooter switch on the side of the deck. This is also where the kickstand is located, along with an ambient LED strip.
Safety, performance and practicality
Safety is a top priority when it comes to the Kingsong C1 kids scooter, which provides little riders with two types of reliable brakes. Kids have different reflexes when braking and being able to choose improves their safety. The brake lever on the handlebars slows down electronically the front wheel with eABS and the step-on brake disguised as a fender brakes the rear wheel.
This being an electric scooter, the power of the rear motor ranges within safe limits. Children have 145 W of power at their disposal, which makes the scooter to accelerate to its top speed of 12 km/h after pressing the thumb lever. The lever has mild resistance and medium sensitivity, allowing good speed control and full enjoyment of the ride. The energy is supplied to the motor by a 25.9 V Li-Ion battery with a capacity of 2.5 Ah and 65 Wh of energy. The full capacity is enough for 10 km long rides. And when you need to charge it, just connect it via one charging port and wait 3 to 4 hours.
The people at Kingsong subjected the overall design of this scooter to functionality, minimum possible weight and compactness so that it suits the kids best. That is why they fitted the Kingsong C1 with solid 5.5-inch wheels that can’t be punctured. At the same time, riding this scooter is more comfortable thanks to the suspended fork. The LED strips on the sides, a bell and a 3M reflective sticker at the back with a wide reflection angle make the scooter safer. As parents you will be also pleased with its compact size as it can be folded to 91 x 31 x 37 cm (length, height, width). When unfolded, its size is 83 x 91 x 37 cm, which are ideal parameters for small riders weighing up to 40 kg. The scooter itself only weighs 8 kg.
