The Dualtron Spider Max takes the technology of its predecessors to a higher level. It is a scooter equipped with technology that is usually found in larger and much heavier scooters of the Dualtron model series. Still, it remains a relatively light mid-range scooter that will take you anywhere you can think of. This machine provides excellent riding comfort, quality and performance you would otherwise have troubles finding in this weight category. Body, design and equipment

The Dualtron Spider Max stays true to the build quality of its predecessors, which is why at first glance it does not seem that its equipment has undergone changes. The opposite is true. It keeps a proven lightweight frame made of a wrought aviation-grade aluminum alloy but with a few practical gadgets added to it. That is why there is a practical rubber surface on the wide deck that comes with a raised rear part. By following the folding joint with one quick-release clamp and the steering rod, you reach the handlebars, which are now foldable. The display was upgraded as well, becoming a center of the modernized cockpit of the Dualtron Spider Max. The EY4 LCD panel made in-house by Minimotors is larger and clearer and with IPX7 waterproof rating. It is possible to connect your smartphone to it via Bluetooth and the Dualtron App. This app allows you to set advanced scooter features. The equipment also includes a practical finger lever, light controls and a reinforced stand.

Safety and ride quality

Riding comfort and safety are among the most important aspects and, as usual, the Dualtron Spider Max takes care of them with elastomer suspension. This is a well-proven suspension system used by the manufacturer in almost every model of the Dualtron series. Moreover, it requires zero maintenance and excels in long serviceable life. The suspension works beautifully thanks to 10-inch wheels fitted with tubed pneumatic tires widened to 2.5 inches. You will always stop safely and on time with 140 mm ZOOM hydraulic brakes at the front and rear. The scooter is also equipped with KERS, which system makes riding even more efficient as it returns energy to the battery each time you brake. How could there be safety without proper lights? The Dualtron Spider Max comes with a 30 W LED front light complemented by the rear brake light and separate turn signals. Add to them the stylish inscriptions on the steering rod and the deck that are LED-illuminated, as well as a powerful horn, and you may rest assured that everyone will notice you on the road.

Power and range

The Max model further improves on the already powerful performance of the Spider series. Now you have exactly 4 000 W at your disposal, produced by two HUB electric motors. They allow you to reach speeds of up to 80 km/h in ideal conditions. The scooter also provides excellent range. Thanks to its 60 V battery with 30 Ah capacity, it offers an impressive range of up to 100 km (depending on rider’s weight, outdoor temperature and terrain). With a range like that, you are free to ride without having to worry about where to recharge your battery. The manufacturer placed the charging ports supporting supercharging to the steering “neck” and used protective caps preventing dirt from entering inside. You can fully charge the scooter in 3+ hours with an 8.25 A charger, a 3.5 A charger will require 8+ hours and a 1.75 A charger will take 17+ hours.

Use and practicality

The Dualtron Spider Max represents a brand-new top model in the lighter, yet powerful electric scooter series. It is an excellent machine not only for commuting daily to work but also for weekend trips. Unlike other models in the Spider series, it offers even better speed / range / durability ratio. You do not have to worry about it giving up on you on a longer trip. You will love the very comfortable suspension that you will be able to make use of both on cobblestones and on field roads. However, the addition of new equipment and safety features took its tool on the scooter’s weight, which increased to 31.5 kg. Still, with the folding steering rod and the handlebars, it fits inside the trunk of almost any regular car. The scooter’s dimensions are 114 x 51 x 22 cm (length, height, width) when folded and 114 x 125 x 62 mm when unfolded.

About the brand

The Minimotors is known globally as one of the best and most reliable manufacturers of electric scooters. It was established in 1999 in Pusan (Busan) in South Korea. Shortly after its establishment, the company became famous for its mass-produced electric motors.
