Use and practicality
The practicality is foremost when it comes to city scooters. OKAI knows it all too well. The LITE ES10 is by 3 kg lighter than the II S20 model, which means that when carrying LITE ES10 you only have to handle 14.5 kilograms and simple scooter body, which is incredibly compact - you will be able to take it with you absolutely everywhere. This is evidenced by its dimensions of 1145 x 450 x 400mm when folded, thanks to which you will have no problem storing it at any place. You will also love the kick-stand integrated to the scooter’s side.
Power, range and batteries
Naturally, this scooter type comes with certain limitations reflecting its primary use case. Therefore, you will find the following specs quite typical for a light scooter. The OKAI Neon LITE ES10 boasts a maximum output of 600 W that provides it with a top speed of 25 km/h. With this power at your disposal, you do not have to worry about hills since (similarly to II S20) the OKAI Neon LITE ES10 handles inclinations of up to 20%, which is little less than its predecessor (OKAI Neon) but a nice performance nevertheless. Compared to the II S20 model, its range is 10 km less, i.e. 30 km, which may be limiting for some users but certainly enough for normal trips around the city. This shorter range is due to the use of a smaller 36V 7.8Ah battery. Nevertheless, for a light, single-motor urban scooter these remain very decent specifications for more than a reasonable price.
Comfort
Long deck ensures comfort by providing enough space for rider’s feet. It is covered by a practical anti-skid layer that nicely complements the overall design of the scooter. Another comfort-enhancing feature being 9-inch tubed front wheels, partially compensating for the missing suspension.
Safety
Safety always comes first. That is why OKAI combines electric and disc brakes in all their models. These brakes ensure smooth and fast braking even in emergency situations. The warning brake light comes as a must, visibly letting other road users know whenever you brake. And this in all conditions. It is in such rainy weather that the safety provided by OKAI Neon LITE ES10 reaches a whole new level. Thanks to its excellent certified IP55 water resistance, you do not have to worry should any unexpected rain shower surprise you.
Design
The people at OKAI made yet another bet on minimalism with their Neon LITE ES10 model, as has been the case with all their models. After all, this scooter is presented as an urban model that inherently comes with a minimalist design, nicely fitting the modern environment of a large city. Therefore, do not expect a lot of visible technology, but rather smooth lines. As well as swag-lights supplemented with adjustable RGB backlighting. All this and many other features adjustable in an app. Also, there are two color variants of the scooter to choose from.
