The Dualtron City New EY4 electric scooter represents a revolutionary upgrade compared to the original Dualtron City model. While the first version already impressed riders with large 15-inch tires and high stability, the new EY4 generation pushes the limits even further. With the latest EY4 display supporting mobile apps for iOS and Android, riders get instant access to all essential information – from speed, battery status, to ride mode settings. The 2 × 1,200 W motors (nominal power, up to 4,000 W max) provide rapid acceleration and a top speed of up to 70 km/h (standard limited to 25 km/h for EU legislation). With a 60 V 25 Ah battery using Samsung or LG cells, the scooter offers a range of up to 90 km, while fast charging (approx. 5 hours with a 5A charger) significantly reduces waiting time. Compared to the original version, the new model is more practical, safer, and user-friendly, while retaining the robustness and unique stability that Dualtron City is known for.
Design, construction and equipment
The Dualtron City New EY4 is designed as an urban scooter with a focus on stability and comfort. Thanks to large 15-inch tires, the ride is comfortable not only on smooth asphalt but also on rougher surfaces. The scooter’s dimensions are 1,540 × 680 × 1,330 mm when unfolded and 1,540 × 300 × 750 mm when folded, providing ample space for the rider while remaining practical for transport. A ground clearance of 190 mm and a wheelbase of 1,140 mm ensure excellent stability even at higher speeds. Hydraulic disc brakes complemented by electronic brake assist provide high braking efficiency and safety in all situations. Front lighting, brake lights, warning and turn signals are complemented by an integrated horn and sturdy stand, making this scooter a fully functional vehicle. The key innovation is the EY4 display with touchscreen and mobile app connectivity, allowing riders to track statistics in detail, adjust riding modes, and optimize battery consumption according to their needs.
Usage and practicality
The Dualtron City New EY4 is designed to replace a car or motorcycle for daily urban commuting. A maximum load capacity of 120 kg allows for comfortable riding even for larger users. With a weight of approximately 41.2 kg, it is not the lightest scooter, but this weight directly corresponds to its massive construction, power, and durability. The battery is removable, meaning you can purchase a second battery to immediately extend the range without long charging times. Standard charging takes about 14 hours, but with a fast charger, this time is reduced to approximately 5 hours. Suspension is handled by front rubber modules and rear cartridge capsules, which can be replaced according to rider preferences, allowing adjustment of stiffness or comfort of the chassis based on riding style. Maintenance is simple – large tires reduce the risk of punctures and the robust frame ensures long life even with regular use.
Safety
With high-performance electric scooters, safety comes first. The Dualtron City New EY4 is equipped with hydraulic disc brakes on both wheels, which, combined with electronic brake regeneration, provide maximum braking force even at higher speeds. The EY4 display and mobile app connectivity make this model a technologically advanced alternative, entering the category of smart urban vehicles. About the brand
