Body, design and equipment

If you are looking for a scooter body with many design-driven bulges, recesses or sharp edges – you will be disappointed. You will find just a handful of scooters on the market that are designed with nothing creating any unnecessary clutter yet, at the same time, coming with everything one needs. As is usually the case with InMotion, this producer cares about functionality and purity of design when it comes to electric scooters of this brand. Therefore, you won’t find any cables on the outside of the Air Pro model since all the cabling runs inside the aircraft-grade aluminium frame. The frame is built around a 17 cm wide deck with a practical, antiskid rubber surface. The entire foot resting area converges as one piece towards the neck of the steering rod. These two parts are connected by a joint fitted with a simple folding system. One lever unlocks the steering rod, which then attaches to the rear fender by a built-in hook. In the same functional fashion, the handlebars are devoid of any unnecessary gadgets and only feature one dominant element – the built-in display. It displays information about your current speed, serves as a light indicator and shows the two riding modes. Everything is controlled either by a single button under the display or by using a smartphone after connecting it to the scooter via Bluetooth. The design of the InMotion Air Pro comes as paradox since it does not have any visually striking elements. Still, its combination of matte black finish with orange rims does indeed attract attention of everyone nearby by its very simplicity.

Power and range

Given its dimensions and focus, you probably thought that the InMotion Air Pro only offers a bare minimum when it comes to performance. If you were of that opinion, the scooter will surprise you as soon as you press that accelerator thumb lever. Its single motor at the back provides a peak power of 750 W, which is the top score in its category. This kind of performance comes with a great top speed, allowing you to accelerate this scooter to 35 km/h on a flat surface. The scooter can also handle steeper climbs as it will have no problems travelling up the slopes at a 20% gradient. The 36 V Li-Ion battery provides a capacity of 12.1 Ah and is no slouch either. When fully charged, the stored energy lasts for 48 km in standard conditions. Once empty, you only need to connect it to a standard charger via a single charging port on the side of the deck and wait 8.5 hours to fully charge. The InMotion Air Pro battery comes with the Smart Battery Management System. It takes care of the battery by using smart energy management, which includes maintaining ideal temperature of cells and balanced use of their capacity, thus significantly prolonging the lifespan of the battery.

Safety and comfort

More than anywhere else, it is the city where safety should be one of the most important properties of an electric scooter. People at InMotion are well aware of this and that is why they equipped the Air Pro model with a maintenance-free braking system – a drum brake at the front and an electronic brake at the back with immediate response. The 10-inch tires offer great balance between riding comfort and minimal care. The manufacturer used a solid tire at the back and at the front you will find an inflatable tire with a reinforced inner tube to minimize the risk of a puncture. Add to all that the front LED headlight that illuminates road up to 15 m in front of you, as well as the rear and brake light, and you will be seen on the road even in complete darkness.

Use and practicality

You will particularly appreciate the InMotion Air Pro in your daily commute to work, school or anywhere else in the city. This is where the scooter feels right at home, given its equipment and design. You, as its new owner, will also be pleased with its almost maintenance-free operation and minimal maintenance requirements. You only need to charge it fully, ride it and, when you need it, simply fold it and carry it wherever you want. It weighs just 17.7 kg and its dimensions are 112.5 x 52 x 44.5 cm (length, height, width) when folded. The height of the unfolded scooter is 120 cm. Completing the versatility package is the total load capacity of 120 kg and the scooter’s IP55 waterproof rating, while the battery itself is certified for even better rating – IPX7.
