The ENGWE N1 Air is the answer to the needs of the modern urban rider seeking a combination of light weight, smart technologies, and reliable performance. This electric bike meets all the demands of today’s city cyclist: compactness, durability, long range, and easy handling. It is designed for daily commuting as well as recreational rides without compromise. With a 250 W motor and a legal maximum speed of 25 km/h, it complies with European legislation, ensuring trouble-free use on bike paths and in urban areas. Thanks to the integration of the torque sensor and smart GPS system, the N1 Air belongs to the higher class of e-bikes, yet remains affordably priced. With a total bike weight of only 15.6 kg, it is one of the lightest e-bikes in its category – thanks to its full carbon frame made from Toray material. This model is designed for riders who value efficiency and design while requiring a powerful and practical vehicle capable of handling even demanding urban conditions.
The main advantage of the ENGWE N1 Air is its frame – made from Toray carbon fiber, achieving an incredible weight of just 1.28 kg. The total bike weight is therefore an impressive 15.6 kg, allowing easy carrying, for example into an elevator or onto a train. The minimalist design with clean lines is complemented by an integrated battery system and a color LCD display that shows current speed, battery level, selected assistance mode, and other data. High-quality components such as Shimano 7-speed derailleur, 160 mm disc brakes, and front LED light are standard. An interesting feature is the rear solar light, which is automatically powered by daylight. The model comes in two versions – the classic N1 Air and N1 Air ST (Step-Through), which has a lowered frame for easier mounting, suitable especially for shorter riders or women. Both models are equipped with the same motor, battery, and equipment, differing only in frame ergonomics.
The ENGWE N1 Air is an ideal solution for daily city travel – whether commuting to work, school, or shopping. Thanks to its very low weight, it is easy to handle even in tight spaces, and the removable 36V / 10Ah Samsung battery allows convenient charging indoors or in an office. The range is around 100 km in the most economical assistance mode (PAS 1), allowing several days of riding without recharging. The torque sensor works with the Mivice M070 motor to provide an exceptionally natural riding experience, where assistance adjusts to pedaling effort. Practicality is further enhanced by the foldable pedals and height-adjustable saddle and handlebars. The N1 Air can also handle light terrain and minor climbs, making it a versatile vehicle not only for urban environments but also for weekend trips into nature.
Safety on the ENGWE N1 Air is addressed comprehensively. In addition to standard elements such as mechanical disc brakes (160 mm) front and rear, the bike features an integrated motion alarm, GPS tracking, and the ability to create a virtual geofence, which alerts the user to unauthorized bike movement. These features are controllable via a mobile app and are free for the first year – afterwards, a subscription costs approximately €39 per year. The high-performance front light ensures good visibility in the dark, while the rear solar LED light works automatically to keep the rider visible throughout the ride. The bike’s safety equipment significantly exceeds the standard for this price range, making the N1 Air suitable even for riders who do not want to leave their bike unattended in urban environments. CE and TÜV Rheinland certification additionally guarantees compliance with European standards.
The heart of the ENGWE N1 Air is the rear hub Mivice M070 motor with 250 W output and maximum torque of 40 Nm, ideal for urban conditions with occasional inclines. The motor is activated based on torque sensor data, ensuring smooth and efficient riding without jerking or delay. The 36V / 10Ah (360 Wh) Samsung battery provides up to 100 km of range per charge in PAS 1. In higher assistance modes, range decreases but still remains at 60–80 km, which is more than sufficient for daily use. Charging time is approximately 5 to 8 hours, meaning the battery can be conveniently charged overnight.
