The TEN V3 X is a model designed primarily for the urban environment. However, it can also handle easy terrain, if necessary. Its maximum load capacity is 100 kg and the scooter itself weights 17 kg. With an approximate range of 42 km, it is mostly intended for medium-long trips around the city, but it will not be scared of taking longer trips during the weekend. With the output of 800 W, it ranks among medium-powerful urban scooters capable of handling moderate climbs. The air-filled, 10-inch wheels partially compensate for the unsprung chassis. It is particularly thanks to these larger wheels that riding this scooter is relatively comfortable even on poor surfaces.
The Egret TEN V3 X is the third improved version of this popular German scooter. The most significant upgrade is the new quiet engine.

This model is mostly intended for the urban environment and for medium-long trips. In addition to low weight, the scooter’s great advantage is its compact dimensions when fully folded, as this model allows easy and quick folding of not just the scooter body but also the handles, including brake levers. Its weight of 17 kg excludes it from the category of ultra-light scooters. Nevertheless, you can still easily carry it up the stairs, load it into a car trunk or board a tram with it. It compensates for its weight by offering a decent range of up to 42 km, 10-inch, air-filled wheels and even two disc brakes. We recommend this model for making daily trips around the city shorter than 20 km and to those people who are looking for a practical and reliable scooter that would them serve for many years. The presence of disc brakes translates into safer riding as the scooter does not rely on electromagnetic brakes but allows you to tame both wheels mechanically. Thanks to its excellent compactness, you can take it with you folded to the office or restaurant where it will not bother anybody, which means you won’t have to leave it outside locked. You can also fit it nicely to the trunk of a regular car.
Range, performance and safety
The Egret TEN V3 X comes with a relatively large 48 V and 11.6 Ah Li-ion battery, which corresponds to 557 Wh of stored energy. Thanks to this battery, the scooter can travel up to 42 km on a single charge. The engine is located in the rear wheel and delivers 800 W power, which is plenty enough for normal riding around the city and even for climbing a small hill. Charging the battery from 0 to 100% takes about 4 hours. This battery uses branded Samsung cells that enhance safety while charging. The braking is taken care of by disc brakes. The rear one even being a hydraulic brake. The built-in lights ensure good visibility in poor conditions and the rear LED light also serves as a brake light.
Comfort and design
The scooter is made in black finish, which suits every occasion. It uses mostly rounded edges, thanks to which it looks stylish and less technical. The rear fender has a functional look. Its design is such that you do not have to worry about arriving to work with muddy pants. The step-on board kind of resembles the skateboard era, nicely following the round shapes of other scooter components. The cabling is relatively well hidden inside the scooter’s body, which in turn feels lean. Although this model is not equipped with suspended chassis, riding it is surprisingly comfortable thanks to 10-inch wheels that are filled with air and help filtering out vibrations and uneven road surfaces. As this is not a model designed for fast sports riding, we can forgive the fact that is has no shock absorbers. However, it is certainly better to go around large potholes to avoid getting flat tire. The weight also contributes to comfort, as you can easily carry this scooter when necessary.
Our rating
The high quality of used materials will convince you on the road and the sophisticated design will highlight your personal style. One should arrive at a meeting not only on time, but also in style. You can easily fold the scooter and put it either into a car trunk or, for instance, under your desk. The scooter’s main advantages include disc brakes on both wheels, which improve safety. The Egret TEN V3 X comes with adjustable steering rod height, which means it is able to accommodate tall riders. The scooter has a practical kickstand, thanks to which it can stand on its own. We consider the absence of any suspension as a disadvantage, especially given the weight of 17 kg. We would expect the manufacturer to incorporate some kind of suspension into this model. Nevertheless, the 10-inch, air-filled wheels compensate the shock absorbers surprisingly well, which means that riding on good surface is indistinguishable from models equipped with sprung 8-inch wheels. However, if your usual route involves a lot of poor road surface, you might want to look at models equipped with suspension.

About the brand
The German company Walberg Urban Electrics has been selling the EGRET premium brand since 2012. The second lifestyle brand, THE-URBAN, was added in 2017. Over that period, Walberg Urban Electrics has distributed more than 60 000 electric scooters. Its founder, Florian Walberg, started as an ordinary user of electric scooters. Based on his personal experience, he realised the huge potential of this new form of mobility. According to him, in the coming years the cities will have to adapt the roads and pavements in a new manner – shifting from internal combustion vehicles towards alternative mobility forms. The electric scooters, especially folding ones, can be easily combined with public transport or one’s own car. We completely agree with Florian on this. The EGRET and THE-URBAN brands are very popular, particularly in Germany, thanks to their German quality, reliability and stylish design.
