This scooter’s acceleration is comparable to the acceleration of a Tesla electric car. Great performance requires long mileage and this is yet another area where the Storm Limited excels. In ideal conditions, it offers a stunning range of up to 220 km thanks to its 84 V 45 Ah battery providing you with up to 3 780 Wh of energy! Unlike its Dualtron Storm predecessor, the Storm Limited does not have a removable battery, which fact allowed installing a larger and more powerful battery inside the scooter's body. It is simply a Dualtron and this name speaks for itself in the world of electromobility enthusiasts.

Body, design and equipment

The scooter has practical design and perfect build quality. The Dualtron Storm Limited comes with new standards that are yet to become common across the Dualtron model series. The latest added feature to the basic model is the built-in fingerprint reader connected to a display, so that it is only you who is able to unlock your scooter to ride it. The standard equipment also includes a hydraulic steering damper preventing any oscillation of the front wheel at higher speeds and a quick 95.4 V and 4 A charger, using which the recharging of large-capacity LG 84 V 45 Ah battering housing 21700 cells becomes a piece of cake. The 2-inch inflatable tubeless tires with "NO FLAT TIRE" technology are also new. This means that constant worries about getting a flat tire are now a thing of the past. Like its predecessor Dualtron Storm, the frame has been designed to provide maximum durability and simple maintenance. It is made of 6082-T6 – a specially wrought aluminum that is similar to the one used in the aerospace industry. This ensures maximum scooter durability and rider safety. The wheel shafts are made of SCM440, a chromium-molybdenum alloy steel with carbon admixture. The maintenance-free and durable elastomeric chassis suspension and comfortable ergonomic grips both contribute to your riding comfort. Other improvements include the new control unit cooler located in the rear foot rest, reinforced design of the steering column’s folding mechanism featuring a dual clamp and new, more powerful motors that can be disconnected from cables directly in the wheel hub. You can also fold the handlebars, making the scooter more compact. Do not forget the built-in electric horn and the backlit multiswitch on the handlebars; you will immediately understand why the Dualtron Storm Limited represents the best of the best. Like all Dualtron scooters, as a standard this monster is equipped with a large and easy-to-read EYE display manufactured in-house by Minimotors. The display shows all important data, such as speed, current gear, daily kilometers travelled (TRIP), total kilometers travelled (ODO) and the current battery charge level. Thanks to its high brightness output, the display stays legible even in adverse weather conditions. The scooter’s power is controlled by a popular finger lever that can also be used to operate cruise control.

Safety and ride quality

The Storm Limited has been built to provide customers with top quality and technology without any compromises. An interestingly designed solid frame will provide you with safe riding even at maximum speeds. Also contributing to this safety is the hydraulic steering damper that, when set correctly, prevents very unpopular oscillation of the front wheel, the so-called wobbling. The revolutionary elastomeric suspension at the front and rear will make your ride even more comfortable. Moreover, it is completely maintenance-free! This is a proven suspension system used in almost every model of the Dualtron series. If the suspension seems too stiff or too soft to you, its stiffness can be easily adjusted in three steps or you can simply choose from other five cartridges offering different elastomer stiffness. The Dualtron Storm LTD is supplied with dual, fully hydraulic brakes with 160 mm braking discs that give you an incredible and smoothly delivered braking power. Along with the electronic brake, you can rest assured that you will always stop this beast safely. You will surely appreciate the recuperative charging option, which returns a portion of the energy back to your battery. Another important safety feature is the electronic ABS that prevents wheel locking when braking heavily. What would safety be without proper lighting? The dual LED front light, rear lights, brake lights and turn signals located at the back on the foot rest provide you with enhanced safety, particularly in poor visibility. The scooter also offers the option to activate the so-called “Kick-start” feature preventing any unwanted start up. You can even reduce the scooter’s brutal power by switching off the front motor or by selecting a lower gear on the display. The functional fenders are a matter of fact. Meaning, should any unexpected rain shower catch you by surprise you do not have to worry about bad weather or your clothes getting dirty by splashing water. However, we recommend that you avoid water as much as possible to avoid losing warranty due to water damage to electrical components. Coming as a bonus is the easy-to-maintain anti-skid deck surface preventing riders from slipping in bad weather or extreme situation.

Power and range

The performance and range of this scooter is a dream come true to be appreciated by every adrenaline enthusiast! It is basically your personal rocket on wheels. You can be sure that the two BLDC motors providing 11 500 W power will make you the king of the mountains without feeling any reduced performance while climbing. Add to it the extremely durable and huge LG 84V 45 Ah battery and you get (in ideal conditions) an amazing range of up to 220 km! A range like that will give you the freedom to ride without having to worry about where to recharge your battery. However, should you exceed the distance of your trip, the quick charger supplied as standard will quickly replenish your battery with energy. The two charging ports are located in the top board of the deck and are equipped with protective caps preventing dirt from entering inside. The battery pack does not suffer from any undesirable memory effect, which is why it will last many years, subject to proper charging and maintenance! Combined with a dual 60 A control unit made in-house by Minimotors and installed in the rear footrest for better cooling, the scooter allows riders to ride at speeds of up to 120 km/h (depending on the rider’s weight, outside temperature and terrain).

Use and practicality

Given its solid structure and incredible performance, this is a very versatile scooter aimed mostly at experienced riders and adrenaline enthusiasts. Thanks to its 2x2 drive and extraordinary power, the Dualtron Storm Limited can handle terrain and even a very steep climb. However, it will feel best on the road. You do not have to worry about your scooter giving up on you on a longer trip. With its 12-inch tubeless tires with "NO FLAT TIRE" technology, the Storm Limited provides you with excellent comfort, traction and safety. You will love the very comfortable chassis, which you will be able to use both on cobblestones and on field roads. Despite the scooter’s versatility, its weight of about 50 kg may be a limiting factor for some riders as carrying this scooter or loading it into a car trunk will make you sweat. Also, the scooter’s performance and robust design resulted in poorer compactness, meaning you will have difficulty taking it with you inside a restaurant (for instance), rather you will have to lock it outside like a bicycle. Transporting it by regular car may bring you problems as well. The scooter’s dimensions in a folded state are 1210 x 605 x 318 mm and 1210 x 1300 x 600 mm when unfolded.

About the brand

The Minimotors is known globally as one of the best and most reliable manufacturers of electric scooters. It was established in 1999 in Pusan (Busan) in South Korea. Shortly after its establishment, the company became famous for its mass-produced electric motors. In 2010, it initiated the development and manufacturing of electric scooters as an excellent personal mobility alternative to single-track petrol-engine vehicles. In the same year, it unveiled its Speedway electric scooter series on the market. Due to high demand and the resulting need to boost manufacturing, Minimotors moved its production to a new factory in China and in 2015 completed the design and began producing a new electric scooter type named Dualtron Ultra. Seeing its huge success, the company continued in developing and manufacturing other models and model series. Presently, the company offers the Dualtron, Speedway and Futecher model series that are popular among electromobility enthusiasts around the world, inextricably linking the Minimotors brand to electric scooters. Although many new companies continue to emerge in the field of electromobility, they lack the experience gained by Minimotors over all those years.
