The elevated rear step allows you to assume safer body posture and also serves as a latch for carrying the scooter more comfortably. The space between the steering rod and the deck belongs to the massive stem, to which a simple, yet strong folding joint attaches smoothly. All that is needed is to release one lever and lower the entire steering rod to the elevated latch.

Even greater innovations are seen with the handlebars. Being an urban scooter, the handlebars themselves offer a quite decent width of 64.7 cm, providing better control over the scooter. However, the dominant piece here is the LED panel. With the Kingsong N12, we may rather use the term - an on-board computer. It is the most intuitive display among all Kingsong models, showing data such as speed, distance traveled, as well as light indicators, cruise control, riding modes and battery temperature. Should this display menu not be enough for you, it is possible to connect to the scooter via Bluetooth and use the Kingsong app. In this app you can activate the anti-theft function, among other features. When someone tries to manipulate the scooter, the alarm goes off and you receive a notification of this event to your phone. The application also allows setting the ambient RGB lights on the side of the deck precisely to your liking.

Power and range

The build quality and equipment are one thing. But the scooter’s drive unit is equally important. The Kingsong N12 relies on a single HUB motor at the back that is able to generate 500 W of rated power. However, for a brief peak period it is capable of delivering 1 000 W. In real life, its power manifests by allowing you to effortlessly climb slopes at a 27% inclination. On a flat surface, the scooter allows riding at a top speed of 40 km/h. To put it simply, those are abilities made perfect for the city, backed by a range of 45 km.

The Kingsong N12 draws power from a 48 V Li-Ion battery providing a capacity of 10.4 Ah and 500 Wh of energy. The battery features a Smart Battery Management system that ensures intelligent management of the energy stored in the battery. This includes maintaining cells at ideal temperature and balanced utilization of their capacity, thus significantly prolonging the lifespan of the battery. But despite the advanced configuration of this battery, sooner or later a time comes to recharge it. This is done via one charging port and it takes 5-6 hours for the scooter to fully charge.

Safety, comfort and practicality

Whether your trip takes you up the hill, along a flat surface or over cobblestones, with the N12 model you travel comfortably and safely. The solid 10-inch tires with anti-slip tread and honeycomb perforations ensure excellent balance between maintenance-free nature and riding comfort. With these tires, the scooter is able to filter bumps and holes more comfortably. The brake system contributes to this combination of maintenance-free nature and efficiency thanks to a drum brake at the front and a mechanical disc brake at the back. Their braking effect is enhanced further by an electronic brake with eABS.

The manufacturer also thought of riding safety in poor visibility, which is why the scooter comes with a 1.5 W headlight assisted by two smaller LED lights in the deck. The tail light is a high output one as well, also serving as a brake light along with two other LED lights. However, a light show like that is not about safety alone but about style as well. The colored ambient lights on the sides of the deck will immediately make you the center of attention on the road.

Considering all the specifications and equipment features, as well as build quality and design, with the Kingsong N12 you get a scooter allowing you to rule city streets. And when you are finished riding, just fold it and take it to your work desk or to a café. With the size of 127.5 x 62.5 x 64.7 cm (length, height, width) when folded, it does not require a lot of space. Although, its weight of 27.3 kg may bring some problems. Nevertheless, everyone should manage to carry this scooter to the entrance door or elevator. After unfolding it, it reveals its full size of 127.5 x 125 x 64.7 cm and is ready to transport loads of up to 120 kg.
