The Isinwheel D1L is an off-road electric scooter for those who want a robust machine with plenty of power in reserve but prefer a more measured pace. Technically it is based on the D1 model – it has the same 1200 W motor, a 48 V / 10 Ah lithium battery with a capacity of 480 Wh and a range of 40–50 km, but it is factory-limited to a top speed of 20 km/h. This makes it an ideal choice for less experienced riders, teenagers aged 14 and over, or for riding where a lower speed is required. The powerful motor does not mean unnecessarily high speed, but confidence: brisk acceleration, easy hill climbing and sufficient pulling power even under heavier loads. The scooter features a carbon steel frame, front and rear suspension, 10-inch tubeless off-road tyres and a maximum load of 150 kg. Modern equipment is not missing either – an OLED display, the iSinwheel Club app with remote locking and cruise control, and 360° LED lighting with turn signals. After your ride, the D1L folds in a single motion and fits into a car or a hallway.

Performance and range

At the heart of the D1L is a 1200 W motor that gives the scooter strong pulling power when setting off and comfortably tackles gradients of up to 20 %. You choose the speed in four levels – 6, 10, 15 and 20 km/h, so you can start carefully and gradually build up. The scooter is factory-limited to 20 km/h; technically it can reach up to 45 km/h, but this mode is intended exclusively for private grounds, not public roads. The lower speed also has a practical advantage – riding more calmly uses battery energy more efficiently. The 48 V / 10 Ah battery with a capacity of 480 Wh provides a range of 40–50 km per charge, which for normal commuting means roughly two charges a week. Charging takes 6–7 hours with the 54.6 V charger, so you can conveniently charge the scooter overnight. The intelligent BMS system protects the cells against overcharging, overheating and deep discharge, and according to the manufacturer the battery retains more than 80 % of its capacity even after 800 charging cycles. Actual range always depends on rider weight, temperature, terrain and riding style.

Design and equipment

The foundation is a durable carbon steel frame with a maximum load of 150 kg, while the scooter itself weighs 25.8 kg. In riding position it measures 118.5 × 122.5 × 63 cm (L × H × W), and when folded its height drops to 55.6 cm. Single-motion folding is simple – release the lever, pull out the safety latch, fold down the handlebar and hook it into the catch. The 10" tubeless off-road tyres have a directional tread that channels water away and reduces the risk of skidding, and thanks to their low rolling resistance they help extend the range. They perform reliably on asphalt, grass, forest trails and even sand, and being tubeless they are less prone to punctures. The OLED display keeps you informed, showing current speed, battery level, selected level, trip and total mileage and cruise control status. The iSinwheel Club app gives you full control of the scooter: it lets you lock it remotely, set your own riding mode, fine-tune the speed levels, switch on cruise control with a single tap and track ride statistics including route recording. Equipment also includes a kickstand, a mudguard and km/h ↔ mph switching.

Safety, comfort and practicality

Safe stopping is ensured by two disc brakes on the front and rear wheels, complemented by an EABS electronic brake. The Power-Cut system instantly disconnects the motor when the brake lever is pressed, which according to the manufacturer shortens the braking distance on wet surfaces by up to 20 %. On slippery roads, TCS traction control helps prevent the wheels from slipping when setting off and in corners. Combined with the 20 km/h speed limit, the D1L offers an exceptionally calm and predictable ride that beginners in particular will appreciate. Comfort is provided by independent front and rear suspension – the front swing arm and rear spring strut absorb impacts from potholes, kerbs, paving and roots. Good visibility is ensured by 360° LED lighting: a powerful headlight, a rear light that lights up automatically when braking and turn signals to clearly indicate turns. The scooter is protected against splashing water (IPX4/IPX5), so it can handle wet roads, but riding in heavy rain and through deep puddles should be avoided. Thanks to quick folding, you can easily carry it into a lift, a basement or a car boot.

The D1L is technically a twin of the D1 – it has the same 1200 W motor, 48 V / 10 Ah battery, 40–50 km range, 25.8 kg weight, brakes, suspension and equipment. The difference is the speed: while the D1 is factory-limited to 25 km/h, the D1L is limited to 20 km/h, which makes it ideal for calmer riding and for beginners. If you need a longer range, the D1 Plus offers a 48 V / 15 Ah (720 Wh) battery with the same motor and a range of 55–65 km at a weight of 26.9 kg. The D2 and D2 Plus series rely on a 1000 W motor and batteries with a capacity of 15.6 Ah (55 km) or 20 Ah (65 km). For more demanding riders there is the D1 MAX with a 60 V / 20 Ah system, a 2000 W motor and a range of 75 km, and the flagship GT4 with two motors delivering a total output of 2400 W, a 52 V / 18.2 Ah battery and a range of up to 80 km. The D1L is therefore the ideal choice for anyone who wants the off-road capabilities and strong motor of the D1 range, but with a more measured speed setting.
