The iSinwheel D1 electric scooter is designed for riders who want one machine for everyday commuting as well as weekend trips off the tarmac. It combines a powerful 1200 W motor, a 48 V / 10 Ah lithium battery with a capacity of 480 Wh and dual suspension, so it easily handles kerbs, paving, forest tracks and gravel. Thanks to 10-inch off-road tubeless tyres and a robust carbon steel frame, it feels stable and confident, yet it can be folded in a single motion and stowed in a car boot or a hallway. Modern equipment includes an OLED display, the iSinwheel Club app with remote locking, cruise control and full LED lighting with turn signals. The D1 is the entry model of the iSinwheel off-road range – it offers performance that is far from standard in this class, while remaining affordable and practical for everyday use. It is suitable for adults and teenagers aged 14 and over, and with a maximum load of 150 kg it will also serve heavier riders well.

Performance and range

At the heart of the scooter is a 1200 W motor that delivers brisk acceleration even under heavier loads and tackles climbs with ease – the manufacturer states a climbing ability of 20 to 30 %. You can set the speed in four modes: 6, 10, 15 and 25 km/h, so beginners can start at a calm pace while experienced riders can enjoy the full dynamics. In line with road traffic regulations, the scooter is factory-limited to 25 km/h; technically it can reach up to 45 km/h, but this mode is intended exclusively for private grounds away from public roads. Power is supplied by a 48 V / 10 Ah battery with a capacity of 480 Wh, which provides a range of 40–50 km on a single charge (measured with a 70 kg rider at 15 km/h). For regular commuting, charging about twice a week is enough. Charging takes 6–7 hours using the 54.6 V charger. The intelligent BMS system protects the cells against overcharging, overheating and deep discharge, and according to the manufacturer the battery retains more than 80 % of its capacity even after 800 charging cycles.

Design and equipment

The sturdy carbon steel frame is designed for loads of up to 150 kg, while the scooter itself weighs 25.8 kg. Unfolded it measures 118.5 × 122.5 × 63 cm (L × H × W), and when folded its height drops to 55.6 cm. The folding mechanism works in a single motion – simply release the lever, pull out the safety latch, fold down the handlebar stem and hook it into the catch. The 10" tubeless off-road tyres have a directional tread that channels water away, reduces the risk of skidding and, thanks to low rolling resistance, helps extend the range. They perform well on asphalt, grass, forest trails and even sand. The OLED display keeps you informed with current speed, battery level, selected mode, trip and total mileage, and a cruise control indicator. Via the iSinwheel Club app you can lock the scooter remotely, adjust speed levels, activate cruise control and track ride statistics and routes. Equipment also includes a kickstand, a mudguard and km/h ↔ mph unit switching.

Safety, comfort and practicality

Reliable stopping is ensured by two disc brakes – front and rear – complemented by an EABS electronic brake. The Power-Cut system instantly cuts power to the motor when the brake lever is pressed, which according to the manufacturer shortens the braking distance on wet surfaces by up to 20 %. Stability on slippery roads is enhanced by TCS traction control, which helps prevent the wheels from slipping. Comfort is provided by front and rear suspension – the front swing arm and rear spring strut effectively absorb impacts from potholes and bumps, making even longer rides on rough surfaces pleasant. Visibility in the dark and in heavy traffic is ensured by 360° LED lighting: a powerful headlight, a rear light with brake function and turn signals to clearly indicate turns. The scooter offers splash protection (IPX4/IPX5), so it can handle wet roads – however, riding in heavy rain and through deep puddles should be avoided. Thanks to single-motion folding, you can easily carry it into a lift, a car or a basement.

In the iSinwheel off-road range, the D1 is the most affordable entry into the world of off-road scooters. The related D1L model has the same 1200 W motor and 48 V / 10 Ah battery with a range of 40–50 km and is slightly lighter (approx. 25 kg). If you need a longer range, the D1 Plus offers a 48 V / 15 Ah battery with the same motor and a range of 55–65 km, at the cost of a slightly higher weight of 26.9 kg and longer charging time (7–8 h). The D2 and D2 Plus series focus on endurance – they combine a 1000 W motor with 15.6 Ah (55 km) or 20 Ah (65 km) batteries. For demanding riders there is the D1 MAX with a 60 V / 20 Ah system, a 2000 W motor and a range of 75 km, and the flagship GT4 with two motors delivering a total output of 2400 W, a 52 V / 18.2 Ah battery and a range of up to 80 km. The iSinwheel D1 is therefore the ideal choice for anyone who wants a genuine off-road character, a powerful motor and modern app-connected equipment, but does not need the extreme range or power of the top models.
