The Dualtron Sonic represents a new generation of lightweight and extremely compact electric scooters designed for everyday urban use. This model offers a unique combination of dual drive with a total peak output of up to 1,400 W, two battery solutions, and a modular design that allows easy folding, carrying, and charging. The Sonic is available with a main Samsung 10.2 Ah battery, providing a comfortable range of up to 30 km in eco mode, and at the same time supports connection of an additional 4 Ah battery, which can serve as an extra power source or as a powerful 100 W power bank for external devices. This scooter is the only one in the Dualtron series that can be legally transported in an airplane cabin, opening up new possibilities for mobility even on long journeys. Compactness, performance, functionality, and safety – all this makes the Dualtron Sonic the ideal solution for “last mile” transport in modern cities.
Design and Equipment
The design of the Dualtron Sonic is thought out to the smallest detail. Its ultra-compact folded dimensions (only 88 cm in length without handlebars) make it the most space-saving model in the Dualtron lineup. Thanks to the detachable frame and handlebars with a quick-release mechanism, you can easily store it under a desk, in a car trunk, or even in a locker at the gym. In addition, the model is equipped with a modular battery system that allows the use of the main 10.2 Ah battery as well as connection of the secondary 4 Ah battery, which can be charged independently or used as an external power bank for a phone, laptop, or other devices. Operation is simple and intuitive, thanks to the clear display, LED lighting, and well-placed controls. The scooter features tubeless 8-inch tires that require no maintenance and are resistant to punctures. Safety
The manufacturer focused on combining an effective braking system, stable construction, and increased visibility, which together create a safe and reliable riding experience. The model is equipped with an electronic braking system, which in combination with the mechanical drum brake on the rear wheel ensures smooth yet effective deceleration even at higher speeds. This hybrid braking mechanism reduces the risk of sudden skidding and provides the rider with better control in urban environments where frequent braking is a necessity. The scooter also features integrated front and rear LED lights, which increase your visibility when riding at dusk, in rain, or at night. The lights are designed not only to illuminate the road but also to signal your presence to other road users. In combination with ambient side lighting, they enhance the scooter’s aesthetics but more importantly its functional safety. Although the Dualtron Sonic does not include classic suspension, its 8-inch pneumatic tubeless tires ensure a degree of comfort on slightly uneven surfaces. In addition, thanks to the modular battery, you avoid cable handling during transport or charging, which reduces the risk of injury or device damage.
Performance and Range
The Sonic is powered by two motors with a nominal output of 2 × 350 W, with a peak output of up to 1,400 W. This provides sufficient power reserves for quick acceleration and easy handling of mild inclines. The main battery (36 V / 10.2 Ah Samsung) provides a range of up to 30 km in eco mode. The additional battery (36 V / 4 Ah) expands the possibilities – serving either as a backup energy source or as a powerful power bank. Charging time of the main battery is approximately 4 – 6 hours, while the smaller 4 Ah battery charges faster. Since the batteries are removable, you can carry more units and swap them as needed, significantly increasing ride flexibility. The scooter’s maximum speed is up to 35 km/h, which is more than sufficient for city commuting.
Our Evaluation
Within the Dualtron lineup, the Sonic goes its own way. While models like the Dualtron Thunder or Dualtron Victor focus on high performance, extreme range, and off-road capabilities, the Dualtron Sonic emphasizes compactness, lightness, and modularity. It is the lightest and most compact model of the brand, which will be appreciated by anyone who moves in cramped urban spaces. Compared to the Dualtron Popular, it is simpler in terms of equipment, but the possibility of frame disassembly, removable battery, and airplane transport places it in a unique category. For a user who does not want power at the cost of weight and size but is looking for a smart solution for everyday mobility, the Sonic is the best choice.

About the Brand
Minimotors is known as one of the best and most reliable electric scooter manufacturers in the world. It was founded in 1999 in Busan, South Korea. Today, the company offers the Dualtron, Speedway, and Futecher series, which are popular among e-mobility enthusiasts worldwide, and the Minimotors name is inseparably linked with electric scooters. Although many new companies in the e-mobility field are constantly emerging, they lack the experience that Minimotors has accumulated over the years. Many of these new companies abandon their plans due to low product quality and lack of market interest.
